  Plane Talk

December Club Activities

Every December we have a dinner for club members and wives. This has always been a nice informal way to visit and get to know one another and our families better. We usually go to a restaurant with a banquet room large enough accomodate us all so we can have a private party. Those of us who like to speak in front of crowds will usually provide some entertainment. The agenda is very loose with a priority on doing what ever we want. The meal is Dutch treat. So everyone try and fit this into your December schedule.

This year we will be holding a Christmas Party for all members at Emery's in Iowa. Get off on the Iowa exit and head south, if you are coming from Lake Charles, when you get off the exit and turn right it will be on your left. If you are coming from Jennings take a left off the exit and as soon as you go over the overpass it will be on your left. It starts at 6:00 P.M. and it will be Dutch treat, OFF THE MENU!!!! Hope to see everybody there....

Now that colder days are setting in, and there is no mowing, and very little flying, don't forget to do annuals on your plane and change out things that could wait! Search your plane in those hidden spots under the seat and in the wing for bolts that my have been missed last time you did an AN change. Keeping your plane up is the First part of safety you should think about.

Last Meeting

The December meeting was attended by Tommy Savoy,Richard LeDoux, Ed McStay, Ed Stephens, Terry Rorabaugh, Bob Sellers, Rodney Blackwell, Max LaBlanc, Paul Perron.

Business

Finally, the tractor will be put in the shop, and we are going to purchase a new bushhog, this month. With all the trouble we had with hydraulics and bushhog needing to be welded and hooked up with cables, the time has come!!

This is probably not a complete list so bring your ideas, we will need to get a lot done at the next business meeting on October 6th.

Election time is here. You will be getting a ballot in the mail. This ballot will have nominees for each office and a place for your own nominee, just in case you don't want the ones already offered. This is a confidental ballet do not put your name or address on the card.
A great thanks should go out to the current officers, the club is growing and Fun flying is still going on strong. Thanks Officers!!!
