Text Box: Welcome to the Department of Physics at McNeese State University Text Box: In the Department of Physics at McNeese State University, we strive to live up to the motto “Excellence with a personal touch.” Our dedicated faculty and staff encourage students to actively engage and become partners in both learning and doing physics. Come see what we are all about! Curriculum: The Department of Physics offers a curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. Students majoring in physics receive the basic preparation for work in business and industry as well as prerequisites for graduate study in physics. The Physics department also offers a minor in physics. A minor in physics is excellent preparation for teaching science at the high school or middle school level.
