Dr. Giovanni Santostasi,

Assistant Professor of Physics

Text Box: Dr. Giovanni Santostasi joined the faculty of McNeese in the fall of 2004.    Dr. Santostasi’s  research interests are in astronomy and astrophysics with particular interest in gravitational waves.  For the past several semesters, Dr. Santostasi has led the LaACES student ballooning project in which students develop an experiment to fly on a balloon into the upper atmosphere.

Dr. Steven M. Stinnett

Text Box: Mr. Archer joined the faculty at McNeese in 2001.  He received his M.S. in physics from Louisiana Tech.   Mr. Archer is also the academic advisor for the Society of Physics Students Chapter at McNeese.

Mrs. Alicia Courville

Text Box: Mrs. Courville is  a joint instructor between the departments of Physics and Chemistry.  She has a B.S. specializing in Physics Education and a M.S. in chemistry from McNeese State University.

Text Box: Dr. Robert Mahfoud is a professor of geology in the Department of Physics.  Dr. Mahfoud’s main research interests in the area of abiogenic origins of petroleum.

Dr Anil Kandalam

Assistant Professor of Physics

Text Box: Dr. Anil Kandalam joined the Department of Physics in August 2008.  Dr. Kandalam’s research interests are in the area of Computational Materials Physics. These encompass computational modeling and design of novel nano-clusters/particles, chemical reactions at surfaces, and interaction of nanoparticles with biological systems.

Ms. Suzanne Bushnell

Text Box: Ms. Bushnell joined the faculty at McNeese in 2006.  She received her B.S. in physics from McNeese and her M.S. in physics from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  Ms. Bushnell is interested in astronomy and astrophysics, specifically in the detection of extrasolar planets.
