Medallion Ceremonies

At the end of the spring and fall semesters, the departments of Biological & Environmental Sciences and Chemistry honor their B.S. and M.S. graduates in a Friday night ceremony before the main graduation exercises on Saturday morning. Current students, family, friends, the Environmental Science and Chemistry faculty and department heads, the Dean of the College of Science, and a speaker from business or government are invited. The graduates receive a medallion inscribed with an acorn, which is a reminder of the Think Oak Tree concept we work to instill in our students. See below for ceremony photos. The Chemistry department joined the ceremonies in Spring of 2003.
